The Roundhouse Café is named after the railway building that once stood nearby and housed steam locomotives.
The Roundhouse Café serves delicious home-baked cookies and organic tea & coffee
Relax and enjoy delicious food and drink at The Roundhouse Café. We serve fair trade, organic coffee from Just Us.
  • Indoor and outdoor seating.

We are the only place for miles where you can enjoy locally-roasted fair trade coffee and a range of black, green, & herbal teas.

We promote healthy eating. You won’t find a deep-fat-fryer in our kitchen; just locally-sourced fresh produce, which reflects the best from Atlantic Canada’s farmers and members of the fishing industry.

The Green Crow Gift Shop

We sell books, children's fossil dig activities, umbrellas, jewellery, clothing, and home decor.

Our gift shop is named after a coal mine in Joggins, which only operated for a short time. Many local residents’ fathers and grandfathers worked there.

If you would like to see images of any items in particular, please let us know and we can help you to purchase gifts from home.

Showcasing local artists & artisans

Nova Scotia is a place where creativity and artistic talent are everywhere. We know that it can be difficult for local artists and artisans to showcase their work and so our gift shop offers them that opportunity.

The Joggins Fossil Institute has an ethos of purchasing from sustainable sources and we have a selection of items made from organically-produced materials as well as Fairtrade and recycled merchandise.

If you would like to sell your work through The Green Crow Gift Shop, please email Jordan LeBlanc, Operations Manager.
