TIANS Tourism Innovator Award 2008

The beautiful Nova Scotia crystal award was collected by the Joggins Fossil Institute's Director, Jenna Boon, and Chairman, Gerald Read, and was presented by the Lieutenant Governor of Nova Scotia, the Honorable Mayanne Francis O.N.S.

The award citation noted the "group of committed stakeholders" who worked toward the UNESCO designation and that "the experience offered here to visitors is comparable to the greatest wonders of the world".
