JFI accepting applications for a new member to the voluntary board of directors

The Joggins Fossil Institute (JFI) Association is a not-for-profit, charitable organization that works in partnership with 3 levels of government, the private sector, and the community to protect, present and promote the natural heritage values of the Joggins Fossil Cliffs UNESCO World Heritage Site, and the award winning Joggins Fossil Centre. The Joggins Fossil Institute is led by a 12-member board comprised of federal, provincial, and municipal government representatives, residents of Cumberland County, members of the scientific community, and members at large. Members of the Board are appointed for a 2-year term.

The Joggins Fossil Institute is currently seeking applications for a board member who has interest and experience in fundraising. Persons interested in applying for this position must provide the following documentation:

  1. Personal background statement including your reasons for applying, an overview of your understanding of the function of the Joggins Fossil Institute and what special qualifications the Board should consider in making its decision, and
  2. Résumé

Applications for membership should be submitted to the Joggins Fossil Institute in hard or digital copy. Applications are being accepted on an ongoing basis.
