Mr. Bill Fairbanks

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Bill Fairbanks has been a lawyer in Cumberland County for over 40 years. He holds degrees from Mount Allison University and the University of New Brunswick. During university years, he financed his education by joining the Canadian Officer Training Corps, obtaining his Commission in 1962. He was awarded the Queen’s Counsel designation in 1985 and from 1974-2001, he held the position of Registrar of Probate for Cumberland County. He is also a Justice of the Peace. Bill has taken part in many community organizations and activities including the Cumberland Museum Society. He also served three terms as an Amherst Town Councillor.

Mr. Fairbanks’ interests include boating, music, botany, photography and astronomy. During the Amherst Centennial Celebration, he designed the sundial erected at the Amherst Town Hall.

He is married to Sylvia Davis and they have two children, Benjamin, a lawyer, and Heidi, a Nurse Practitioner.
